Last night, I posted about the latest invest and how it was likely to become a tropical depression. 90L intensified faster than expected, and is currently Tropical Storm Hermine, at 50 mph, and is organized with a favorable environment ahead of it. Looking at the history of tropical cyclones in that area with a favorable environment, I am concerned that southern Texas and northernmost Mexico could be dealing with a Category 1 Hurricane Hermine by late tonight.
