August 15 Update: Light To Moderate Rain

3:25 PM Update: An area of light to moderate rain is approaching the New York City tri-state area. The heaviest rain is falling with a line currently in western NJ and SE PA, moving ENE. Most places should see at least light rain, however there are some areas of moderate, locally heavy rain in this line, one of them moving towards north central New Jersey. Rainfall amounts up to 0.2 inch are expected for most places, with amounts locally as high as 1/2 inch, especially with the area of rain moving into north central NJ.

The posting schedule will go a little differently over the next few days. A full update will be posted by 6 PM today, including details about tomorrow's severe weather potential, and heavy rainfall that is likely for Thursday. A final update on the severe weather potential will be posted tomorrow morning with a brief update on the longer range, with storm updates to be posted late tomorrow afternoon if needed.
