Dec 5, 2011 Noon Update

4:00 PM: Snow Possible On Thursday?

Over the last few days, although the model guidance has not been consistent with the Thursday storm, due to an unfavorable pattern a snowstorm in NYC appeared to be very unlikely, if not nearly impossible. The last model guidance is starting to settle on a solution, however, and an increasing number of models are suggesting that an accumulating snowstorm may affect parts of the area on Wednesday night into Thursday morning. There is still uncertainty with this storm as this is a recent change, and it is possible that it does not snow on Thursday, but the potential is there for a snowstorm with light to moderate accumulations to affect the area. Stay tuned for more information on this potential with this evening's update.
