Brief Forecast Overview:
- Tomorrow will bring partly sunny skies with warmer temperatures, reaching the upper 50s across most of the area with a few lower 60s in parts of the immediate NYC area.
- A strong trough will drop into the Northeast between Friday and Sunday, which will be associated with a strong high pressure, likely above 1030 mb. This will bring clearing skies for Friday with a north wind and high temperatures in the lower to mid 50s across the area. A few upper 50s are possible SW of NYC. The high pressure will then bring clear skies and much colder temperatures for Friday night, dropping into the mid 20s to lower 30s north and west of NYC. Saturday will be colder, with highs in the lower 50s across most of the area and near the lower to mid 50s in the immediate NYC area, but cold overnight lows are expected again, similar to those of Friday night inland and slightly warmer near the coast.
- The high pressure will bring sunny skies again for Sunday with temperatures warming back up into the mid 50s. Temperatures will warm up again through early next week with mostly sunny skies and high temperatures rising into the lower to mid 60s across the area for Monday and Tuesday. A few upper 60s may be possible in the immediate NYC area towards Tuesday and Wednesday. The next risk of rain across the area should end up around Wednesday night into Thursday night, but the exact timing is still slightly uncertain, and could change around a little.
