Forecast Highlights:

Dry and seasonable conditions continue across the region today with highs reaching the low to mid 80s away from the coast. A warmer and more humid air mass will spread in from tomorrow through the middle of next week, however, resulting in temperatures reaching the upper 80s to low 90s along with a risk of isolated thunderstorms and heat index values near the mid 90s.

Weekend Outlook: Dry, Mild

The slow warming trend that began on Wednesday continues today, with mostly sunny skies and highs slightly warmer than yesterday, peaking in the low to mid 80s away from the coast and the upper 70s to low 80s near the coast. Partly sunny skies are expected for Sunday with highs warming up into the mid to upper 80s away from the coast.


Next Week: Hot, Humid, Some Storms

A warm and humid air mass will be in place for the first half of next week, with highs in the upper 80s to low 90s and dew points in the mid 60s-low 70s resulting in heat index values reaching the mid 90s. Each day is expected to be partly sunny with a risk of scattered afternoon/evening thunderstorms. By the late week and next weekend, as strong ridging develops over the western US, a cold front is expected to approach the region with an increased risk of widespread showers and thunderstorms along with cooler temperatures, back to near or possibly a bit below average.
