Weather Hazards

In this page, information on any upcoming hazardous weather will be posted, ranging from temperature extremes to significant snow/rain. Hazardous weather events in this page are defined in the following categories:

Rain - the potential for near or over 1/2 inch of rain
T-Storms - the potential for strong or severe thunderstorms
Wind - the potential for wind gusts near or above 40 mph
Heat - the potential for temperature and/or heat index near or above 100 degrees



Rain

There are no upcoming hazardous rain events.


T-Storms

1 upcoming thunderstorm event
  • July 20: The next approaching cold front is expected to produce scattered thunderstorms, some of them strong to severe with heavy rain.


Wind

There are no upcoming hazardous wind events.


Heat

1 upcoming heat event
  • July 16-19: High temperatures in the mid to upper 90s away from the coast and upper 80s-mid 90s near the coast are expected in this time frame, with heat index values in the low to mid 100s for most.
